The WWZ (Dutch Dismissal Law)

Do you work with personnel in the Netherlands? With the new WWZ, the rules for temporary employment agreements, redundancy, the sequential stipulation and the regulations surrounding unemployment have changed drastically.
The WWZ has been implemented in three phases. The last phase went into effect on 1 January 2016.
It is important for you as an employer in the Netherlands to be aware of all the changes in this area. Only then will you be able to adapt employment agreements, reconsider how you will handle temporary personnel and establish a system of notification and transition.
